Blockchain game publisher Dominus Games (CEO Jeon Myung-jin) announced on May 30 that it has completed a new investment in game development company FurniStorm (CEO Yoo Choong-gil).
FunnyStorm is a new game development studio led by Yoo Choong-gil, the renowned developer behind hit titles such as C9, Hello Hero, and Angel Stone. The company was established with the goal of becoming a leader in the next-generation Location-Based Game (LBG) genre.
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to collaborate beyond traditional mobile games, preparing a next-generation location-based title. They also aim to create synergies by integrating NFTs and blockchain into the LBG genre.
Dominus Games is a blockchain game publisher that has secured the business rights for the Yulgang (열혈강호) IP, covering both mobile and blockchain games. The company is set to mint the Yulgang Black Wind Society NFT in June and is currently working in partnership with various entities including Mgame (developer of Yulgang Online), director Yang Woo-suk‘s Studio Genius, Randi Zuckerberg‘s groupHUG, and Sonnori, led by CEO Lee Won-sool.
Jeon Myung-jin, CEO of Dominus Games, said:
“We are thrilled to collaborate with star developer Yoo Choong-gil, who has created many hit titles. As he proved with Hello Hero that collectible 3D RPGs can succeed on mobile, we also look forward to the fun and innovation that FurniStorm will bring to the LBG genre.”
Yoo Choong-gil, CEO of FurniStorm, stated:
“I am deeply grateful to Dominus Games for becoming a partner in this new challenge. We aim to deliver the best possible gameplay by focusing on the mobility strengths of mobile platforms.”
