FunnyStorm Files Patent for Innovative Mobile Combat Interface Technology

Mobile game company FunnyStorm Co., Ltd. (CEO: Bobby Yu) announced that it has filed a domestic patent (Application No. 10-2024-0037562) for a core technology titled “Game System and Method for Providing a Duel Interface, and a Recording Medium Storing a Program for Executing the Method.”

The patent focuses on providing a dynamic and simplified combat interface system optimized for mobile platforms.

At the heart of this technology is a new duel (combat) interface utilizing a gauge graph and a moving target needle. Players control the moving needle in real-time along the gauge to execute precise attack actions, enabling more powerful and strategic attacks through accurate timing.

This intuitive control system allows for the smooth execution of complex battles even on small mobile screens. It minimizes UI elements to enhance immersion, offering a high-impact combat experience with a sleek and accessible design. FunnyStorm plans to integrate this system into its upcoming game titles to deliver a unique and differentiated combat experience.

In the rapidly growing mobile game market, a differentiated user experience (UX) is a critical competitive edge. FunnyStorm expects this interface technology to significantly improve mobile UX while deepening the strategic layers of gameplay.

Bobby Yu, CEO of FunnyStorm, stated, “This patent filing is a major milestone that demonstrates FunnyStorm’s capability to innovate in game interface design. Our graph gauge-based combat UI will offer mobile gamers a new level of enjoyment and usability. It will also be a core component of our next-generation game development efforts.”

He added that the technology will help strengthen FunnyStorm’s position in the location-based mobile game market and become a key growth engine for future business expansion.

With this patent as a foundation, FunnyStorm plans to accelerate R&D efforts in innovative game interfaces and aims to establish itself as a leading player in the mobile gaming space. The company also intends to continuously secure market competitiveness with original mobile-optimized gaming technologies.
