South Korean game developer FunnyStorm has announced a Series A investment from KRAFTON, the creators of PUBG. This follows the studio’s recent win of the R&D Innovation Award at the 2022 Korea Business Awards.
FunnyStorm, led by veteran developer Bobby Yu (Yu Choong-Gil), is known for Dragon Raid, a GPS-based mobile RPG that blends real-world movement with in-game fantasy experiences. The funding is expected to accelerate global publishing efforts and team expansion, including strengthening the game’s backend infrastructure and marketing strategy.
In previous rounds, FunnyStorm secured seed investments from Neptun, Dominus Games, and other angel investors.
KRAFTON’s involvement adds significant industry weight, especially as Dragon Raid prepares for its next development phase and eventual global launch.
